I've lived in Santiago most of my life. I was born here and I don't intend to live in another city... almost for a while. I lived two years in another city, especifically in Mar del Plata, Argentina. But that's another story, 'cause I'm here to talk about Santiago.
I lived in two diferents places in Santiago. First in Puente Alto, in the south of the city. Then, my family and I moved to the center of the city, near the Parque O'Higgins. Well, I love the both places, because they give me some invaluable memories.
I like Santiago because you have EVERYTHING here. Good stadiums for football and music, good food, you can buy everything here. The most important thing, for me, is that my friends and family live here, so I can always see them.
The city have a decent weather. In winter, cold and rain are not so much, and that's ok for me. In the summer, the heat is strong, but I know that in others cities the heat is terrible.
One of the things I don't like of Santiago is the extremely long distance between some places. You can wait more than 1 hour to take to some places. Especially when all the people went out their works. Many streets are full of cars and busses. This take us to another problem of Santiago: the over population. There are too many people in this city, and the city isn't prepared for this.
To make Santiago a better place to live I think that they should ban some cars. This would help to clear the streets of the city. Also, they have to implement a better public transport system.
Leaving the bad things, Santiago have too many places to visit. You have the Parque O'Higgins, a very popular place here. In April we have Lollapalooza Chile en this park. In September we have the "fondas", where we celebrate our national day.
We have the Cerro San Cristobal, a place where you can see all the city.
If you can go to drink something in the night, we have a lot of places. There is Bellavista, Lastarria, Providencia and some discotheques around the city.
Santiago is a nice place to live. You have everything. Some people says that Santiago is Chile. I think they're right...
This song represent Santiago. Enjoy!
I think the most important thing is to be with the family, no matter where.
ReplyDeleteGood stadiums?
ReplyDeletelike the hole "Zorramental" jajaaja
it's very nice that we have all the things close to everyone.
Vivan Los Tetss!
Bye fucking nigger curichh
oh, we like the same things of Santiago! you´re right :)
ReplyDeleteFor our luck the distance between tha extreme pplaces of Santiago is less by the day, our only problem(like always) is the Transantiago jajajaj
Los tetas rocks!
I love Santiago, too! But I hate to travel for more than 1 hour to get to the university :(
ReplyDeleteThe O'higgins Park is the best in september!! There sold a goods "earthquakes" xD And the best are the places for the night life.
ReplyDeleteNiggaaa, organize the party!!
Santiago is big but compared to other cities like Bs As, Sao Paulo or Rio, it´s very tiny, the population of Chile is Bs As... I remembered when I visited to my grandma in Argentina and the downtown is a couple of hours of her house and she lived in the city not with cows and chickens jajjaja.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is one of reason why I dont reallly like Argentina , eew :S
Transantiago really sucks! I would be so different with a decent transport system.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Santiago is everything and the seasons are lived each in his own time. I see that the music accompanies your life and "Los Tetas" are a good music group to represent the city.
