This is the end

There's so many ways to learn english. You can talk, write or listen. But if you don't do it frequently, you will never get this language. You have to practice as much as you can. With our blogs, we can practice english every monday, writting about interesting stuffs, like music movies, holidays and many other things.

I think I have learned with this method, because I went to every class of english (?). There is some aspects that I don't really do fine, like speaking. It's so hard, because it's make me feel ashamed. I think I talk in english like a monkey. To do it well, I have to practice and be a little more corageous. Some day I will speak english like a true american.

The best thing I do is to understand when I read something. It's easy for me, because I play a lot of video games in english. I can listen and understand too, thanks to the anglo music.

English is very important today, especially for journalist. If you have to go to another country to interview somebody, you need to know how to speak english. The peolple in USA don't speak spanish, so you have to learn their language.

Well, this is our last post in the blog and it's make me happy. Blogging was necesary to learn english, but also was a little bit tedious. Fortunately it's the end of this blog.

I will post you a song that talks about a final situation, like the our english blogs.

Good bye.

Cidade de Deus

I started to watch movies about 3 years ago. Before that I had only watched classics of children movies like Lion King, Toy Story or Space Jam. In that time I didn't see a lot of movies, because I thought that they were boring. Fortunately, I was wrong.

I don't know if I have a favourite movie, but I remember one that blows my mind. It's called "Cidade de Deus", that means "City of God" in portuguese. This movie is frome Brasil and was directed by Fernando Meirelles The movie is about a group of childs in Rio de Janeiro that grows and take different paths. The history of Ze Pequeno (Leandro Firmino) and Buscapé (Alexandre Rodrigues) are mixed through the movie.

I loved this movie because of many reasons, First, I love Brazil. I' ve never been there, but I wish to come someday. I love the beaches, the sun, the women and the music of Brazil. I think the plot of the movie goes on in a perfect way, mixing a lot of characters and making a very good story. It's important to say that this movie is based in real life episodes. Also, the photography and the soundtrack of the movie are simply amazing.

I know that this movie isn't the best movie of the entire universe, but I love it. You have to watch it right now!

The power of the vote

I voted in the last election. Also, I voted in the election of 2009, when Piñera won. I think I have the obligation to vote, because I believe in a society where the people have the power to take all the decitions. In this moment, we only can vote to remove the politicians. You can also talk about strikes or that things, but, in this context, the vote is more importante, because the politicians don't have the total control of the people choices.

In last weekend elections I void mi vote. I live in Santiago and I vote there, so the options for the major were n't too much. There was Carolina Tohá, Pablo Zalaquett and Waldo Mora. The first one isn't of my total liking. I think she talks a lot and do nothing. Zalaquett like me less than Tohá. In his last period in Santiago he didn't great things, at least for my neighborhood. And Waldo Mora is a man that loves the money. A friend that knows him, told me that. So, I decided to don't give my vote.

For the city councilor I voted for Leonel Herrera, a player of Colo Colo in the 1991's era. I voted for him because that reason hahaha.

Well, I think that our actual politic system suck, because the people don't have many options to make a decition. The politicians are always the same, all of them friends or familiars. While we vote, they eat a good barbeque together.

Final exam: The first attempt

The first practice of the final exam was fun. I started the excercise with no mistakes, but when I got the second part, I failed in some words. But it's right, I didn't know the system. I think I'm a little bit ready than before this practice.

The hardest part was the part of the letter. I don't know what's the minimum score to pass the exam, but I did a score of 30 already.

In the listening part, I had serious problems, because I was tired of doing the exam, so I don't pay attention to the people speech.

Well, I don't want to think in english anymore. At least for today. Good Bye.

The first day of five years

My first day at university was incredible. I remember I was very excited to go to the university to study journalism and what kind of people I would met. A few weeks before the first day, I founded in Facebook some of my classmates and we decided to go to drink something and talk about our expectatives. We had a great time together.

So, in the first day I've already known some of my classmates. That makes everything easier, because I knew a few persons before to talk about something with a litle more of confidence. The first thing I did was to assist to the class of Ethic with miss Faride Zerán. She talked about journalism and her experience as a journalist in the dictatorship of Pinochet. I loved that class and I started to love the journalism.

Then, we went to the auditorium to had a welcome from the professors and the others students. When it finished, they have some juice and "choripanes" for us. It was a great welcome.

In the first day, I inmediately started to talk with the people that are my friends until today: Nicolás, Nicole, Josefa  and Mauricio. We spoke about a lot of things that I don't remember, but it's was fine.

When the day was over and I was in my home, I wanted that the second day at university would start as quick as possible.

Cheers for national holidays!

I love the national holidays in Chile, because it's the only country in the world that do a big celebration. I don't remember any special holidays, because I loved them all. Generally my family and I go to the  Parque O'Higgins's fondas to have some fun, eat some delicious anticuchos and drink terremoto. We enjoy the ambient of all the place and love the music like cumbia or cueca.

All the national holidays in my family are the same: go to some fondas and meet with others parts of the family and eat barbeque (or "asado") and have a great time together.

As I said, I don't remember a especial national holiday, but I remember two or three times I've spend this holidays in another country. It's was very strange, 'cause I used to be in Chile. The ambient is not the same and the food defintely isn't too. I especially miss that part of the holidays.

Well, let's talk again about the national holidays that I spend in Chile. Sometimes I met with my friends and have a really great party. We start with a barbeque and then we drink a lot. I think this part of the year was made to celebrate the national day and any other thing that we want!

This year I spend the national holidays in Peru, so I haven't eat some delicious empanadas or meat yet. But I don't have to worry, because this weekend is the popular named "18 chico". It's a celebration made for the people who was unable to celebrate in the national holidays.

Time to make some plans

In the first half of this year I did some good things. First, my girlfriend and I planed to travel in september. We wanted to go to Machu Picchu in Peru. We started to work hardly to make the money we needed. And we do it! We will go next week, so I'll can´t go to the next clas of English.

In case of university, it was very normal. The only thing that really excited me was a TV program we made in class. We prepared for a long time to do it and we accomplish. Personally I did the sound engineer work and it was very fun. I knew the work a little bit, because I actually work in a radio doing the same thing.

Well, I've waited for the second half of the year due to the great things that will happen. The travel, the summer, do the profesional practice and some good music shows like Maquinaria Festival.

Here's a song that I want to listen when I come to the ruins of Machu Picchu.
